Stegosaurus is one of the most recognizable dinosaurs in the world! 🤩It had two rows of large plates running down its back and four sharp spikes on its tail. While it may look fierce, Stegosaurus was actually a peaceful plant-eater.

Scientists believe the plates may have helped control body temperature or attract other Stegosaurus. Its tail spikes were used to defend itself from hungry predators.

Stegosaurus spent its days slowly walking through prehistoric forests searching for plants to eat.
